Crikey Child Family Psychology Services

Welcome to Crikey Child!

I’m just a mum wanting to provide helpful, practical psychological advice to other families in the Waikato

About me.

I am a Psychologist, and a mum of two. I have been registered with the New Zealand Psychologist's Board since 2012. I have worked with children and adults with Autism, Feotal Alchohol Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Global Developmental Delay and Intellectual Disability. I have also spent several years working with children and young teenagers who are engaged with Oranga Tamariki or Youth Justice Services.

Since becoming a mum I’ve heard so many stories of families finding that they don’t know how to manage some tricky behaviours and are struggling to find help. This has prompted me to create Crikey Child. My hope is to help out families in my local community by offering practical and affordable family psychology services.

So welcome! Scroll down to see the services I’m offering.

I’ll continue to add content like; e-learning modules, information about toddler taming, sleep, transitions and printable/downloadable resources.

My Services

  • In person sessions $180*

Sessions are approximately one hour. We can talk about what's going on, i'll observe you and your child if that's practical, and we'll come up with a plan that works for you.

*Sessions cost $180, or $140 if you have a community services card.

To save time (and money) i'll send you some forms to fill out before we get started.

You’ll pay 50% before the visit, and 50% to receive the plan after the visit.

  • Session Package $1200

For some families, one visit with some advice and a plan is enough. Other families might decide they need a bit more.

The session package includes six in person sessions, coaching during those sessions, phone support and debriefing (between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday).

  • Brief phone consultation $50

Commiting to an in person session isn’t easy. A brief phone consultation is 30 minutes. You can let me know what’s going on, I’ll explain how I think I could help (and maybe give some advice over the phone), and hopefully this chat helps you decide whether you think having an in person session would help you and your family.

You can also have a brief phone consult if you have had one in person session and just need a little bit more help over the phone.

  • Services for service providers

Training, Behaviour Support Services, Intellectual Functioning Assessments

    - These services are quoted on a case by case basis. Please get in touch to find out more.
